Minister stresses need for modernistion of Khadi

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 1 (UNI) Kerala Electricity Minister A K Balan today stressed the need for modernisation and diversification of Khadi products in the state.

Inaugurating the state-level rebate on Khadi products here, he said steps should be taken to market the khadi products by maintaing its quality and tradition along with timely modernisation and diversification.

Mr Balan said since the Khadi industry had enough development potential, people involved in the industry should work according to the wishes of people.
