Maruti hikes car prices by Rs 500-5000
New Delhi, Aug 1 (UNI) Car market Maruti Udyog leader today hiked prices of most of its models by Rs 500 to Rs 5000, due to rise in input and freight costs following the rise in oil prices.
The increase varies from 0.17 per cent to 1.47 per cent and comes into effect from today, a company statement said.
In this phase, the company has decided to pass on only a part of the increase in costs to the customers.
The prices of some of its models including Swift, Zen, Baleno (Vxi) and WagonR (Petrol) have been kept unchanged.
