K C JENA joins as Member (Staff), Railway Board

New Delhi, Aug 1 (UNI) Mr K C Jena, who had earlier worked as Executive Director (Safety) and Executive Director (Coaching) in the Railway Board, joined the Board as Member (Staff) today.

Mr Jena, who joined the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) in 1971, had education at the Madras Christian College and the IIT, Kanpur. He has had training in England on Inter-Modal Traffic at the University College of Cardiff and on Management Information System in Sweden, Germany and the US.

He had recently attended the Stern School of Business, New York for training in Management Essentials for High Potential Executive.

Prior to joining the Railway Board, he was General Manager, East Central Railway, Hajipur; General Manager, North Central Railway, Allahabad; Divisional Railway Manager, Vadodara; Chief Operations Manager, Western Railway; and Additional General Manager, Central Railway.

Earlier, Mr R S Varshneya, Member (Staff), was given a warm sendoff yesterday on his retirement on superannuation, after 38 years of service.
