Hero Honda sales jump 2.3% in July

New Delhi, Aug 1 (UNI) Country's leading two-wheeler manufacturer Hero Honda today reported a growth of 2.3 per cent in its July sales at 2,35,314 units as against 2,30,050 units in July 2005.

Exports during the month climbed 53.26 per cent to 10,575 units from 6,900 units during July 2005.

During the period April-July 2006, the company's sales clocked a growth of 16.38 per cent crossing the one million mark at 10,68,006 units as compared to 9,17,617 units sold in the corresponding period last year.

Hero Honda's first scooter venture--Pleasure--sold 6,224 units in July 2006, taking the total tally during the current financial year to 28,324 units.
