Help to realise the dream of khushal Kashmir, Peerzada

Srinagar, Aug 1 (UNI) Maintaining that the peace is essential for development of various sectors in the state, Minister for Youth Services and Sports and Hajj and Auqaf Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed has called upon the people to extend full cooperation to the government realise the dream of a prosperous and Khushal Jammu and Kashmir.

The minister was addressing a function organised by the District Youth Services and Sports, Anantnag.

He said that fifteen playing fields would be developed in the Kokernag constituency for which Rs 17 lakh have been released in the first phase and the work for these grounds would start soon.

These include Sagam, Hiller Arahama, Chatti Iqbalpora, Devalgam, Nowbug, Kharpora and Damhal.

The minister said that government has introduced massive reforms to reorganise the Youth Service and Sports department which has led to creation of about 3000 posts in various categories.

He said that the reforms include introduction of sports facilities from the middle standard in all government schools of the state.

Mr Sayeed said 500 Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers have been engaged in the constituency since the coalition government came to power adding that 73 new Anganwari centres would be opened in the area.

Referring to developmental works in the constituency, the minister said that Rs two crore have been sanctioned for Kokernag bridge and Rs three crore would be spent by the Development Authority of Kokernag for development of tourism infrastructure.

Later, the minister distributed more than 100 sports kits among the Cricket Clubs of the Kokernag area to encourage the players and promote cricket and other sports.
