Forensic report says death of 2 youths not by police firing

Vadodara, Aug 1 (UNI) A Forensic Science Laboratory report has confirmed that two youths who had died during Vadodara riots of May one, had not incurred bullet injuries from police firing, as was registered.

The two, Irfan Sheikh (22) and Mohd Usman Mansuri (17), were among six persons killed in Yaqutpura area during the riots of May one, which erupted after the razing of a century-old dargah by local authorities.

The FSL report submitted to the police stated that the bullets recovered in their bodies did not match those fired from police weapons and that confirmed that the two had died because of firing from some other source, police said.
