European Management School ties up with MDI, Gurgaon

London, Aug 1 (UNI) The ESCP-EAP European School of Management today announced the launch of a 16 month consortium programme in International Management for post graduates in Europe and India in association with Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon.

This is an extension of the Masters in European Business (MEB) programme of the School and is open to students from India, Europe and any other world region. The session at MDI India commences on September 11, 2006.

Announcing this, Dr Davide Sola, UK Director, ESCP-EAP said, ''ESCP-EAP is known for its cross-border approach to management learning in a multicultural society. In keeping with this philosophy, having an association with MDI India, a reputed B-School, seemed the most natural thing to do. As a result of this tie-up, our Masters in European Business (MEB) students now have the unique opportunity to study the first semester for six months in Gurgaon.'' The tie up is a value addition for the MEB students at ESCP-EAP.

It allows students to study the first semester at the MDI campus in Gurgaon. The session starts in September and after the first six months in India, students move to any of the 5 campuses of ESCP-EAP in Europe for the second semester in February. Economics for Managers, Marketing Management, Fundamentals of Finance, Research Methods in Business, Financial Accounting are some of the modules covered at MDI India. The third and the final phase of the consortium programme also takes place in Europe and involves a four month company internship.

Students pursuing this programme at MDI India and ESCP-EAP will be awarded the 'Master of International Management' by the consortium partners and in addition will receive the 'Masters in European Business (MEB) from ESCP-EAP. The consortium's Masters programme offers high potential students in India and Europe, an opportunity to pursue together an exceptional academic, cultural and business experience in two continents.

MDI has been ranked No 1 by Business World 2005 and is an AMBA accredited B-School.
