Eleven MLCs take oath as members of Upper House

Mumbai, Aug 1 (UNI) Eleven members of legislative council today took oath as the members in presence of council Chairman Shivajirao Deshmukh, Deputy Chairman Vasant Davkhare, Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil and others.

The members are Arun Gujarathi, Usha Darade (NCP), Ulhas Pawar, Govindrao Adik, Rajan Reli and S Q Zama (Cong), Keshavrao Mankar, Sayyad Pasha Patel (BJP) Jayant Patil (PWP), Parshuram Uparkar (Shiv Sena) and Preetamkumar Shegaonkar (RPI-A).

Mr Zama took oath in Hindi while the others took oath in Marathi, according to an official release here.
