Common policy for naxal affected states soon: Deshmukh
Adilabad, Andhra Pradesh, Aug 1 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today said the naxal affected states of Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Maharasthra and Andhra Pradesh would soon adopt a common policy to tackle the naxal menace.
Talking to reporters here Mr Deshmukh, who was here to attend a private ceremony, said a decision in this regard was taken at the recently held Chief Ministers meeting of naxal affected states in Delhi.
Referring to Babli Irrigation Project, he said they would act according to the report to be submitted by the High Power Committee which was constituted by Central Water Commission (CWC).
The report is to be submitted to CWC within two months.
