ATC, AIEMA sign MoU with NSIC to meet needs of SSIs

Chennai, Aug 1 (UNI) AIEMA Technology Centre (ATC) and Ambattur Industrial Estate Manufacturers Association (AIEMA) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), Government of India, to effectively address the needs of the Small Scale Industries (SSIs) in terms of technology upgradation, marketing and credit requirements.

The tri-party MoU was signed here by ATC Chairman, Dilip Kumbhat, AIEMA President, K Pitchumani, and NSIC Zonal General Manager A Kamalakkannan, an association release said.

As per the MoU, NSIC would conduct seminars and workshops for the members of ATC and AIEMA to make use of its services such as single point registration scheme, performance&credit rating and info-mediary services, facilitation of credit to small enterprises through banks and finance for procurement of raw materials against bank guarantee, it said.

ATC, AIEMA and NSIC would exchange SSI information, statistics on manufacturing and trade activities and will conduct joint studies focused on the opportunities and challenges for the SSI sector, the release added.
