Apollo Sindhoori launches trading on BSE SENSEX futures
Chennai, Aug 1 (UNI) Apollo Sindhoori Capital Investments Limited, a leading stock broking organisation of South India, has launched the trading facility on BSE Sensex futures here.
"SENSEX futures will become a heavily traded product on BSE as NIFTY futures is on NSE. We have introduced SENSEX trading so that our clients will now be able to trade SENSEX futures on BSE. As such SENSEX is widely recognised and is expected to become popular in no time," said Executive Director P B Subramaniyan.
In a statement, he said trading of SENSEX had already gone through the testing process at Apollo Sindhoori. Within a week, SENSEX is scheduled to trade across 1000 terminals of the company, giving the investing public a great opportunity to trade on the BSE SENSEX.
Apollo Sindhoori has recorded impressive performance during the first quarter of the current fiscal. In spite of weaker market sentiment during most part of the quarter, the income from operations has gone up by 68 per cent and Profit After Tax increased by 40 per cent compared to corresponding quarter of 2005-06.
Earnings Per Share for the Quarter is 40 per cent more than corresponding quarter of 2005-06. It has also been nine per cent more than the average of 2005-06. Return (before interest but after tax) on Capital Employed of 44 per cent observed in 2005-06 has improved to 47 per cent (annualized) during the quarter.
Growing at rapid pace, the company now has close to 500 offices all over the country. It is planning to introduce SENSEX trading at all the outlets soon, in a phased manner.
The organisation has also been active in commodity segment through its subsidiary Apollo Sindhoori Commodities Trading Limited.
