AICC Secretary urges criminal action against Jaswant

Hyderabad, Aug 1 (UNI) All India Congress Committee (AICC) Secretary P Sudhakara Reddy today urged the Union Government to initiate criminal or any other suitable proceedings against BJP leader Jaswant Singh for his allegation that there was a' mole' in the Prime Minister office of late P V Narasimha Rao.

Mr Reddy, in a statement here said the baseless and misleading allegation by Mr Singh brought disgrace to the nation and created a disturbing trend in the relations with several Foreign Countries including the United States.

He said Mr Singh should have thought twice before resorting to such a vague allegation against the interest of the country, particularly after a lapse of a decade.

He said stern action against Mr Singh was necessaary to prevent others also from making false accusations.
