ACC's cement despatches in July at 14.2 lakh tonnes

Mumbai, Aug 1 (UNI) The cement major Associated Cement Companies Ltd (ACC) has recorded cement despatches up to 14.2 lakh tonnes for the month of July 2006, as against 12.8 lakh tonnes in the same month last year.

Announcing this to BSE, the company said its cement production for the period under review stood at 14.6 lakh tonnes as against 12.9 lakh tonnes in July 2005.

Cumulative cement despatches for January - July 2006 period stood at 110.8 lakh tonnes as against 103.0 lakh tonnes in the comparable period of the last calendar year.

During this period, ACC's cement production stood at 111.3 lakh tonnes as against 102.8 lakh tonnes during January - July 2005 period.
