113 new blocks being created in J
Srinagar, Aug 1 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir government will create 113 new blocks in the state, Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Baig said today.
Intervening in the Legislative Assembly on a question of Sahrief Uddin Shariq of National Conference that governments has failed to implement the decision taken in the district board meetings, Mr Baig said government has plans to create 113 new blocks in all parts of the state.
But, he said it needs Rs 200 to Rs 300 crore to implement the plan.
However, he said that even if there is no decision about the issues taken up by Mr Shariq, the government will take up all the work.
Mr Shariq alleged that the decision taken in the district development board meeting in 2002 was not implemented. It included creating Qaziabad as block, setting up a fire station, creation of sub district hospital and upgradation high school Ashpora to higher secondary level.
However, the written answer says no such decision was taken forcing the members to demand action against the officials who prepared the answer.
