Wockhardt hospital inks pact with US-based IndUS Health Inc

Bangalore, July 31 (UNI) Wockhardt Hospitals, one of the leading healthcare provider group in India, has entered into a strategic tie up with the US-based IndUS Health Incorporation, a global healthcare service, to link uninsured and self-insured Americans to affordable, high quality medical care outside the US.

According to a statement issued here, under the agreement, the IndUS Health would coordinate overseas care at Wockhardt hospitals in India for American patients in need of highly complex medical procedures.

Patients from the US could, thus, avail of cost effective high quality medical procedures including heart surgery, joint replacement, spine surgery and minimal access surgery at any of the super speciality hospitals of the Wockhardt group in India, it said.

The North Carolina-based IndUS Health was targetting to support 45 million uninsured and underinsured American population who faced financial crisis in case of a catastrophic medical expense.
