Welspun-Gujarat Stahl Rohren Q1 net jumps 66.45 pc to Rs 26.3 crore

Mumbai, July 31 (UNI) Welspun-Gujarat Stahl Rohren has posted a rise of 66.45 per cent in profit after tax to Rs 26.3 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 15.8 crore for the similar quarter of the previous fiscal.

Announcing the results, the Company said its total income (net of excise) has increased by 63.20 per cent to Rs 536.3 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 from Rs 328.6 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005.

Incorporated in 1995, Welspun-Gujarat Stahl Rohren is promoted by the Welspun group. The Company is engaged in spiral welded pipes, MS pipes, seamless pipes and HR sheet. Its plants are located in Bharuch, Gujarat.
