Three people of a gang arrested for car theft

Thrissur, July 31 (UNI) Police today arrested three people of an inter-state car lifting gang from Amballur near here.

According to police, Geo Paul(21) hailing from Varantharappilli, Benoy(28) from North Parur and Shibu(33) from Chalakudy, were arrested by the Pudukkad police while they were trying to sell a stolen car.

Eight cars, registration books and many keys were recovered from them.

On interrogation the arrested admitted that they stole around 30 cars from various parts of the country.

Police said four more persons of the gang are to be arrested. Two persons of the gang were killed and one was injured in a recent accident in Pune, police added.
