Sensex up 127 pts in intra-noon trade
Mumbai, July 31 (UNI) Based on the strong performance of Asian markets, the BSE Sensex spurted 127 points in the intra-noon trade, largely on account of heavy buying in the midcap and smallcap sectors.
The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensitive Index (Sensex) is currently trading at 10,808.16 points, compared to the previous close of 10,680.
All the global markets are also on a high after the Fed declined to hike the interest rates in August as a resultant slowdown in the US Economy.
Major gainers on the index are - ICICI bank, BHEL, Satyam, Wipro, Maruti, Tata Motors, and Reliance Communications, all up between 1.70 to 3.64 per cent.
The losers are - Grasim Industries, HLL, HDFC and HDFC Bank, all down between 0.06 to 1.62 per cent.
