Reliance Comm Q1 net profit at Rs 8.45 crore

Mumbai, Jul 31: Reliance Communications Ltd has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 8.45 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income is Rs 23.14 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.

As per the Consolidated Results, the Group has posted a profit after tax of Rs 513 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to a net loss of Rs 250 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005. Total Net Revenue is Rs 3250 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 2283 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005.

Since the Company was in pre-operative stage as at June 30, 2005, profit and loss account was not prepared for that period.

Hence, the figures relating to the quarter and six months ended June 30, 2006 are not comparable.
