RBI approves Stanchart Bank as primary dealer

Mumbai, July 31 (UNI) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today said it has allowed Standard Chartered Bank to function as a primary dealer from August one, 2006.

In a statement issued here, the RBI also said that the authorisation given to Standard Chartered-UTI Securities India Private Limited to act as a primary dealer has been withdrawn.
