Police official injured in road accident

Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu July 31 (UNI)Three people, including, an Assistant Commissioner of police were injured in a road accident on Chennai-Bangalore Highway near Sriperumbadur here today.

Police said the mishap occurred when the police official Ravi, who was proceeding in a car from Vellore to Chennai applied the brake suddenly to avoid a motorcycle. But while doing so, his vehicle collided with a 'Qualis' car coming in the opposite direction.

While Mr Ravi was admitted to Ramachandra Medical Hospital in Chennai, the motor-cyclist and his friend were admitted to Sriperumbadur Government Hospital.
