Ajmer, July 31 (UNI) A team of Pakistani ''ziyarins'' prayed for furthering the Indo-Pak ties by laying a special chadaar at the mazaar of Sufi saint Khwaja Saheb on the occasion of the annual Urs here today.

A team of 485 Pakistani ziyarins today took out a 'chadaar' procession from their place of stay - the Central Girls School. A special velvet chadaar which was sent by the Pakistani government along with personal chadaars were also part of the procession which went round the main thoroughfares of the city before culminating at the dargah.

The Pakistani ziyarins were showered with flowers and welcomed at several places in the city. The Pakistani team led by Sagir Ahmed Kadri passed through the Jannati Darwaza before reaching the mazaar where they offered flowers and prayers.

The ziyarins laid the chadaar on behalf of the Pakistani government and prayed for peace and friendly ties between the two countries.

According to Sarwar Chisti, chief of Anjuman, the organisation of Khadims, a welcome ceremony will be organised on August 5 for the Pakistani ziyarins.

The Khadims of the dargah will conduct the dastarbandi of Pakistani ziyarins and present the tavrukh of Khwaja Saheb.
