Kasliwal promises to be good, moves HC for entry in Mumbai

Mumbai, July 31 (UNI) Sri Ram Mill owner's son and an accused of raping a 52-year old woman on March 11-Abhishek Kasliwal filed a petition before the Bombay High Court today for relaxation of his bail conditions and gain entry in Mumbai, assuring that he will be under the guidance and supervision of his parents while here.

The petition was listed during the day before Justice R S Mohite but did not reach hearing and will come up in the course of the week.

While the accused was granted cash bail of Rs 50,000 and two sureties of the same amount on April 18, Justice V M Kanade had held that Abhishek will not enter Mumbai until the pendency of the trial.

However, the court had also given him the liberty to file for relaxation of condition after the chargesheet had been filed.

The chargesheet was filed on June 22.

While the accused had been charged u/s 325 (causing grievous hurt) and 376 (rape) of the IPC, he has been staying at his parents home in Delhi and reporting to the Mehrauli police Station twice a month as directed by the court.

Kasliwal is seeking relaxation of the orders as he wants to assist his father in some unfinished business.
