Jindal Steel Q1 net up 2% at Rs 153.09 cr

New Delhi, July 31 (UNI) Jindal Steel and Power Ltd today posted an increase of 1.91 per cent in net profit at Rs 153.09 crore for first quarter ended June 30, 2006, as against Rs 150.21 crore during same period last year.

The company's total income went up by 5.14 per cent at Rs 669.40 crore in Q1 FY07 from Rs 636.65 crore in Q1 FY06, a company statement said.

Jindal Steel&Power Ltd makes sponge iron and mild steel ingots.
