IDBI to strengthen its branch network to 500 by March, 2008

Mumbai, July 31 (UNI) The Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) has its plans to ramp up its branch network to 500 by March-end in 2008, the bank's CMD VP Shetty said while inaugurating a retail branch of the bank here today.

With the commissioning of the branch, the IDBI now operates through a network of 182 branches, four extensions and 401 ATMs spread across 103 cities.

The Vile Parle branch, which was inaugurated here, will operate on the Finacle core banking solution platform and is equipped with the requisite infrastructure to structure and deliver complete financial solutions and personalised banking services, both on the assets and liabilities side.
