GIET to acquire Deemed University Status in 2007: Chairman

Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh July 31 (UNI) Godavari Institute of Engineers and Technology (GIET) would be given the Deemed University status by next year with its infrastructure facilities, according to GIET Chairman K V V Satyanarayana Raju.

Talking to newspersons here today, he said the Institute has achieved landmark in campus selection by maintaining quality education. A few renowned companies had selected 153 students from GIET so far.

Mr Raju said an International Standard School, would be set up with Rs 40 crore in an area of fifty acres land, adjacent to the campus.

Chaitanaya Knowledge Corridor, would also set up, he added.
