Diggy unleashes war of letters against Chouhan

Bhopal, July 31 (UNI) Accusing Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan of not responding to crucial questions linked to public interest, AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh today said it was an attempt at escapism.

''In my earlier letter, I raised issues relating to roads, irrigation, power, economic and human resources but you turned a Nelson's eye to them in your reply,'' the former chief minister said in a letter to Mr Chouhan. Copies of the missive were released to the press today.

Mr Singh claimed that from time to time he raised issues such as Indore's petroleum scam, pension scam and Simhastha Mela construction work but the government failed to furnish information.

''Major claims are being made about investment in the state but the exact amount and number of factories set up are not being stated,'' he added.
