Ranchi, Jul 31 (UNI) The Central Coal Fields Ltd and Neyvelli Lignite Corporation will have a joint venture partnership for instalation of a 1000-mw power plant in North Karanpura coal field near Tandwa in Jharkhand's Chatra district.
The CCL sources claimed the coal reserve was huge in NK coal field, which could be main feeder line for the proposed power plant.
It is estimated that about Rs 5000 crore will be required for installation of this plant, which is expected to be operational in five years.
Coal from Magadh OC project, after meeting the requirement of NTPC at Tandwa will be linked to the joint venture for generation of power.
About five million tonne coal per anum will be required for this purpose and about 600 hectare of land and sufficient water resources for the power plant will also be required from the state government.
