Yellapura and Belgaum recorded 6 cm rainfall in the State

Bangalore, July 30 (UNI) Following is the summary of observations recorded at weather office here today.

Monsoon was weak over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Rainfall occurred at many places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka and at a few places over South Interior Karnataka Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Yellapura, Belgaum 6 each, Sambre 4, Karwar, Bidar 2 each, Hukkeri, Bhagamandala, Virajpet, Madikeri, Thirthahalli 1 each.

Forecast valid until the Tuesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at many places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka and at a few places over South Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate to heavy rain likely to occur at many places over all districts of Coastal Karnataka and Kodagu, Shimoga Chikmagalur districts of South Interior Karnataka. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at many places over Belgaum, Dharwad, Haveri districts of North Interior Karnataka and at a few places over Bidar, Gulbarga, Raichur districts of North Interior Karnataka and Chitradurga, Bellary, Davanagere, Hassan districts of South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over remaining districts of North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Forecast for Bangalore city: Partly cloudy. Strong surface winds gusty at times.
