Wet spell in MP
Bhopal, July 30 (UNI) Various locations in Madhya Pradesh continue to be lashed by light to heavy showers while downpours have been predicted in the state's eastern parts.
Downpours are the order of the day at some places in Jhabua and Barwani districts. The sun played hide-and-seek among the clouds over the state capital that witnessed a drizzle.
A Regional Meteorological Centre official said a low-pressure area had formed in the vicinity of Jharkhand and Bihar. Rewa, Jabalpur and Sagar divisions are likely to witness heavy rain over the next 48 hours.
Overnight precipitation figures were Ranapur 14 cm, Thandla and Pati 11, Niwali 9, Alirajpur 7, Rajpur, Bhabra and Satna 5, Sendhwa 4, Pansemal and Pachmarhi 3 cm each. Jhabua recorded 688 mm rain this season.
