Teenaged girl, 2-year-old baby die in mishap

Bangalore, July 30 (UNI) Two girls -- a teenager and a two-year-old baby -- died when a water tank in a house collapsed on an adjoining shed at Kasturinagar in the city, today.

Police said as the tank collapsed the hollow blocks used in the construction of the tank fell on the shed, injuring four people.

While two of them, identified as Geetha (16) and Rukma (two) died on the way to a hospital, a 40-year-old woman and 10-year-old girl were hospitalised.

Poor reinforcement caused the mishap, police added.
