Team India players play golf, baseball in fitness camp
Bangalore, July 30 (UNI) After relaxing for day following their rigourous 'Mission Secret' camp, Men in Blue returned to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) for regular conditioning camp today.
The players did some physical exercises in the morning session, before undergoing fitness tests. In the afternoon, they practised with golf balls and stumps. Later, they also played a game of baseball.
In the evening, the team had an indoor training session where they batted to improve their defence skills.
On the penultimate day of the camp tomorrow, the players would have training in a defence establishment.
The Indian team had undergone training at the Pegasus Centre of Excellence, 65 km from here, under Assistant Coach Ian Frazer in the first three days.
The present camp would wind up on August 1 and the second, concentrating on cricketing skills, would commence on August 6.
The team is slated to leave on the night of August 10 for Sri Lanka where the tri-series, also involving South Africa, would begin on August 14.
Coach Greg Chappell, currently on a vacation to the US, would join the Indian squad on August 4.
