TDP urges Reddy to clarify on minorities reservation

Rajahmundry, July 30(UNI) Telugu Desam Party (TDP) State Minority Cell Secretary Shiek Subhan today urged Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy to clarify on minorities reservation since court and the Centre did not favour reservation on religious grounds.

Addressing presspersons here, Mr Subhan said during the election time, the Congress, inorder to woo muslim voters, hastly announced five per cent reservation without looking into impediments in implementing it.

He alleged that Dr Reddy even after two and half years of rule had done nothing for the minorities, but reduced minority seats in the colleges by allowing the managements to increase the management seats.
