Suicide attempt on Metro by a youth

Kolkata, July 30 (UNI) Alertness of a Metro Rail motorman C Chinna saved a 24-year-old youth, who allegedly dived under wheels of Tollygunj-bound train at Park street station, at the rush hours Metro officials said here.

The man, who was injured, was admitted to SSKM hospital here after given first aid.

Motorman Chinna stopped the train applying emergency brake to save Sanjoy Kansabanik of Shibrampore, South 24 Parganas, sources said yesterday.

The accident caused ten minutes delay to the traffic on the line.
