Police declines to make autopsy report public of two students
Purulia, July 30 (UNI) Mystery surrounded the death of five students, who went trekking to Mathaburu, as police refused to disclose the post-mortem report of the two students whose bodies were recovered yesterday.
The bodies of Suvankar Saha and Swati Das, students of Jadavpur University (JU), were traced yesterday and sent for post-mortem at Purulia Sadar Deben Mahato hospital. The bodies were later handed over to their families here today.
However, the concerned physician and police refused to disclose the post-mortem report.
''The body of Suvankar (21) was retrieved from the bank of a river and Swati's body was traced at a canal, Majherjhara, a few hours later. The body had no clothings,'' Additional SP of Purulia Rajesh Yadav told UNI.
Two other members, Bappaditya Chatterjee and Koushik Saha, who had been rescued, were detained by the police for interrogation while Arundhuti Ghosh is still untraced and the search operation is on, he added.
