'Pavitrotsavam' at Tirumala begins Aug 5

Tirumala, July 30 (UNI) The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthnams (TTD) will conduct the three-day 'pavitrotsavam' (purification ceremony) at the Sri Venkateswara Temple from August five to seven.

As a prelude, the 'ankuranpanam' will be performed on August four.

The 'pavitra pratishta will be done on August five and 'pavithra samarpana' to the main deity the next day.

The TTD has cancelled 'Arjita Sevas' (paid sevas) like 'Kalayanotsavam,' 'Brahmotsavam,' 'Sahasradeepalankra Seva' and 'Vasantosavam' due to the 'utsav.' UNI XR GM 1446
