ONGC to implement Palatana plant in 36 months
Agartala, Jul 30 (UNI) Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC) will implement the 750 MW Power Generation and Transmission Project at Palatana in South Tripura in fast-track and commission it in 36 months.
Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Murli Deora informed this in a meeting held with Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on July 28 at New Delhi.
"The Petroleum Minister has conveyed the message to the CM that ONGC has comprehensively discussed the project at the latter's Business Plan meet with the government and the project will now go full steam," said a top official of the ONGC.
Meanwhile, sources in the Chief Minister's office told UNI that Mr Sarkar also raised the issue of Gas supply to Monarchak Project and other Power projects in Tripura. "There are some problems regarding the supply of gas by the ONGC. Hopefully it will be sorted out soon," said the official.
The meeting was attended by ONGC's Director (Offshore) Mr N.K.
