ONGC employee to participate in world conference

Agartala, July 30 (UNI) Vice President of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Tripura, Mr. Paritosh Roy has been selected to participate in 'World Conference against use of Atomic Bombs' to be held in Herosima and Nagasaki in Japan.

The conference would be held on August 2 and 3. The conference would be organised to generate support for abolition of weapons of mass destruction. The United States of America had dropped two atomic bombs in these two cities, which led to the death of thousands of innocent lives on August 6 and 9, 1945.

The conference is being held to protest the days of unfortunate mass destruction.

Mr. Roy is holding the post of vice president of ONGC workers union for the last 10 years.

About 10000 delegates from various nations were expected to participate in the two-day conference.
