Nautica watches launched in India by Timex
New Delhi, July 30 (UNI) Nautica, a global lifestyle brand with wide range of products for men, women and children, has launched 'Nautica Watches' in India through Timex Watches Ltd.
''Targeting the young and high-end consumers, the Nautica Watches will follow an aggressive strategy to garner retail space in the burgeoning market in India,'' Timex Managing Director and Vice-President (Asia) Kapil Kapoor said. Indian consumers are now ready to spend more on the accessories to upgrade themselves, he said.
Nautica's head in India Sumeet Yadav, however, said at the weekend the company would launch watches for women in the upcoming spring season.
The Nautica range comprises 22 designs in India with prices ranging from Rs 6,995 to Rs 18,995.
Initially, the watches will be available in Nautica stores and select Time Factory stores. Later on, the same will be rolled out to premium Departmental stores.
Nautica is a US-based company that merged with VF Corporation in 2003.
After the merger, Nautica is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of VF Corporation.
