Man held, explosives seized

Kancheepuram, July 30 (UNI) Police today arrested a resident of Arpakkam here and seized a huge quantity of explosive materials from him.

Police said the seizure included 658 gelatine sticks, 144 electrical detonators, 190 metre explosive wire and 3,500 detonators.

Nallathambi had procured them from Tiruchengode from Salem without any licence and was arrested this morning following a tip off, police said.
