Kohima police rescues abducted drivers
Kohima, July 30 (UNI) Kohima police has rescued two kidnapped Manipuri drivers here.
Police said today that the abductors demanded Rs one lakh as 'tax' to release the kidnapped.
Official sources said two 'Federal Government of Nagaland' (FGN) cadres waylaid four trucks to National Highway 39, near the Police Check gate.
Police, who were on VIP duty on NH 39, noticed that four trucks were parked near the petrol pump and searched for the drivers. They were unable to find the drivers.
Police sprung into action and rescued the drivers from a house.
A case has been registered and search is on to nab the abductors, sources said.
