Heavy rains predicted in Gujarat, Jharkhand, Bihar, Goa

Pune, July 30 (UNI) The southwest monsoon has been vigorous over Jharkhand, Gujarat State and Madhya Maharashtra and active over West Bengal and Sikkim and Konkan and Goa. It has been subdued over Arunachal Pradesh, Haryana, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu.

Extremely heavy rainfall is likely to occur at most places in Gujarat State.

Heavy to very heavy rain are likely to occur at most places in Jharkhand, Bihar, Konkan and Goa.

Heavy rain are likely to occur at most places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Karnataka and Kerala.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Marathwada, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, east Uttar Pradesh, west Rajasthan, Lakshadweep and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh State, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.

Exceptionally heavy rain have occurred at most places in Gujarat region.

Extremely heavy rainfall have occurred at most places in Madhya Maharashtra.

Heavy to very heavy rain have occurred at most places in Saurashtra and Kutch.

Heavy rain have occurred at most places in West Bengal and Sikkim, Konkan and Goa.

Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
