Coordination needed between Leg.-Ex.-Jud.for justice: Sabharwal
Srinagar, July 30 (UNI) Chief Justice of India, Justice Y K Sabharwal today said for dispensation of justice, there has to be a total coordination between legislature, executive and judiciary.
Speaking after laying the foundation stone of Srinagar District court complex, coming up at an estimated cost of Rs 82 crore on an area of 229 kanals here today he said a congenial environment has to be created for working of judicial system.
He said the coordination between the three would help for dispensation of justice.
Justice Sabharwal said the new court complex is of utmost importance for litigating public and would help in speedy dispensation of justice.
He stressed for enhancing resource allocation for infrastructure development for judiciary and said that all care needs to be taken of litigating public and witnesses as well while creating facilities in the new court complex.
He exuded confidence that the first phase of this prestigious complex would come up within next two years.
Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Justice B A Khan in his welcome address said that the new court complex would be very modern, being constructed with latest technology.
He urged upon the Chief Minister to take up the matter with the central government or providing matching grant for raising modern infrastructure for judiciary in the state.
He said that almost fifty per cent courts in the state are functioning in the rented buildings and adequate resources are required for infrastructure development for the judiciary.
