The SEZ, once completed, will provide 1.45 lakh job opportunities, he added.
Mr Narayansami said electrical train service between Pondicherry and Villuppuram would commence on August six when Union Minister of State for Railways Velu flagged off the first train.
A Railway reservation centre at Karaikal would also be inaugurated by Mr Velu on the same day which would benefit people of Karaikal and Nagapatinam.
