About 2,500 people evacuated in Anand, Kheda, 3 dead
Anand, July 30 (UNI) About 2,500 people from 18 villages in the districts of Anand and Kheda were evacuated while three persons died in rain related incidents overnight as incessant rains continued in Gujarat.
Road traffic were disrupted and several buses have been cancelled.
Two children died in a house collapse in Kanswari village in the district last night. The other casualty was reported from Napatalpad village in Kheda.
Anand district recieved 1,398 mm rain, and Kheda 1,112 mm since last night, taking the season's total to 4,342 mm and 6,221 mm, respectively.
