323 leave for Amarnath, 520 depart for Buddha Amarnath
Jammu, July 30 (UNI) A fresh batch of 323 pilgrims today left here on the ongoing Amarnath Yatra for a ''darshan'' of the Shivlingam' at the holy cave shrine in the Himalayas.
Official sources said the pilgrims, comprising 159 men, 53 women, two children and 110 sadhus, amid chanting of religious hymns and slogans left from the MA Stadium here in the morning.
Sources said the pilgrims left in a convoy of 20 vehicles, including 14 heavy and six light vehicles, under tight security arrangements.
Another batch of 520 pilgrims, in the day, left from Buddha Amarnath pilgrimage situated at the border district of Poonch of Jammu and Kashmir on the third day of the Yatra.
Official sources said the pilgrims, comprising 346 men and 226 left in a convoy of 13 buses early this morning for BuddhaAmarnath.
