2 kg gold ear coverings for TN temple deity

Kancheepuram, July 30 (UNI) Two gold ear coverings weighing a kilogram each will be presented to the presiding deity of the famous Sri Varadarajaperumal Temple here.

Temple sources said the 'karnapatram' (ear covering) will be presented next month to the temple by a Bangalore-based devotee.

The temple is one of the 108 'divya desams' and a world-famous Vaishanavite shrine.

Work on the ear coverings is being undertaken by a repurted jeweller here.
