16-year-old boy arrested for raping minor

Mumbai, July 30 (UNI) A 16-year-old boy was arrested for allegedly raping his 10-year-old relative after threatening her with life, in Bhandup suburb of North East Mumbai.

Police yesterday said on July 26, the accused, Ligesh Patil, threatened the minor girl with life, if she did not oblige, and repeatedly raped her.

The victim's mother then lodged a complaint with police following which the boy was arrested on friday.

Further investigations are in progress, police added.
