1,300 Indians rescued from Lebanon: Minister
Chennai, July 30 (UNI) As many as 1,300 Indians, willing to return to India, were rescued from the war-torn Lebanon and sent to their native place safely, Union Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi today said.
Talking to newsmen at the airport here, Mr Ravi said of the about 12,000 Indians there, only 1,300 expressed willingness to return to India.
The government will make necessary arrangements to help Indians return, if they contacted the Indian Embassy at Beirut, he added.
