VSNL Q1 net down 31 pc to Rs 88 crore

Mumbai, July 29 (UNI) Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd (VSNL), promoted and managed by Tata Group, has posted a net profit of Rs 88 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 127 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005, a dip of 30.70 per cent.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income has increased from Rs 944 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 to Rs 951 crore for quarter ended June 30, 2006.
